Improving Restoration Fit Rates and Accuracy

This course will show the dental team how to save surgery time and money by using proven protocols to give predictable and aesthetic fit results. By developing a close understanding of each stage of the process, we have designed with our referring dentists, protocols which deliver a 97% first time fit rate.

  • Why things don’t fit and explain the key reasons why restorations can fail at the fit stage
  • We take a look at impression techniques, materials and copings to eliminate common errors
  • We will explore the use of bite registrations, triple trays and how we occlude models to get maximum success
  • We will explain how scanning errors and issues occur and how we resolve them with minimal impact on patients.
  • We will share with you how we obtain characterisation, glaze and bonding to TiBase and how this contributes to the final aesthetic
  • We will explain how we design the optimal contact points, path of insertion, occlusion and clearance
  • And finally, we will take you through our quality control process
  • Split into groups so that you can see in detail they key stages of the process and how we can best collaborate to get the best outcome for the patient.
  • Visual check of the impression – a checklist for dentists. These checks can be done in surgery before the patient has left the chair; potentially saving a costly re-call if things aren’t quite right or we’re missing important items.
  • Impression handling and casting to guarantee accurate reproduction of the impression in die stone.
  • You’ll see the full digital workflow from implant placement to definitive crown in two appointments!
  • How we make our restorations harmonise naturally and fit precisely.
  • Our end to end digital workflows; we give you real insight and examples into how we are innovating to reduce costs and improve outcomes

You’ll take away one of our cups, a check list with guidance and tips that we hope will save you enough time for a tea or coffee (hence the cup) and a BOGOF voucher for use on your next case.

Unless otherwise specified, our training courses are for local (i.e. Kent, Sussex, Surrey) and referring dentists. We reserve the right to decline attendance requests that fall outside these criteria. If in doubt, please ask!
